The Great Smokies Review
Toward the end of her first semester at UNC Asheville, Olivia was offered a position as the editorial intern at The Great Smokies Review.
The Review is the literary journal of The Great Smokies Writing Program. This school provides university-level creative writing courses to the wider Western North Carolina Community. The Review takes submissions from GSWP students and publishes them in a biannual electronic journal. A reading and celebration is held to celebrate each publication. Each year, one UNC Asheville student is selected by professors to be an editorial intern with the journal. Olivia was selected. She worked alongside seasoned editorial professionals to learn the ins and outs of electronic publishing. After her first year, she was invited back for her final semester at UNC Asheville. |
